Dan Britton

Dan Britton is the Senior Vice President of Ministries for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at the World Headquarters in Kansas City.  As a native of Virginia, Dan attended St. Stephens High School where he captained the football and lacrosse teams and received all-conference and state honors in both sports. At the University of Delaware, he captained the Division I lacrosse team as one of the leading scorers. He graduated with a degree in Finance. 

 

After being drafted into the Professional Indoor Lacrosse League in the first round, Dan was a four-year starter with the Baltimore Thunder.  There he made the "All-Star Team," and was nominated by his teammates for the "Service Award" and the "Unsung Hero Award."

 

For the past fourteen years, Dan has served on staff with FCA through camps and programs reaching thousands of coaches and athletes throughout the country.  As the Senior Vice President of Ministries, Dan oversees Camps, Coaches Ministry, Campus Ministry, Huddles, Adult Ministries, Sport-Specific Ministry, Resource Development, FCA’s Sharing the Victory magazine, webFCA, and Training.  FCA is a 51 year-old ministry that uses the platform of athletics to impact students and adults with the message of Jesus Christ. Over one and a half million people are reached each year through FCA’s programs. In the schools, FCA has clubs on 8,000 campuses called "Huddles", where students-athletes can meet on campus for prayer, fellowship, and Bible study.  FCA has over 140 various summer sport camps with over 28,000 athletes and coaches attending a week of inspiration and perspiration.

 

As a communicator, Dan is a frequent speaker at schools, churches, conventions, and retreats.  Dan and his wife, Dawn, reside in Overland Park, Kansas with their three children: Kallie, Abby and Elijah.
